TitleSut saipan Kantrum Isan Tai
AbstractThe article illustrates the development of Thailand's Northeastern folk music genre, Kantrum. The Kantrum band is usually accompanied with drum, fiddle, and woodwind instrument. The lyrics are in Khmer language. To attract younger audience, the younger Kantrum artists have adapted the music and mixed it with Western pop songs. This has caused concern among the older generation of Kantrum artists.
