TitleSuwannaphum khomun thi tong thopthuan mai nai prawatsat Phutthasatsana
AuthorChamnian Kaeoku
AbstractConventional wisdom holds that Theravada Buddhism was propagated into Southeast Asia during the reign of King Asoke in 200 BC. However, the author argues that it was not until after 200 AD that Buddhism was disseminated into this area. This is because before 200 AD Southeast Asian societies were merely hamlets spreading randomly throughout the region. Archeological findings support his argument.
