AbstractThe article summarizes the October 14, 1973 student uprising. It provides historical background of political conflicts between military regime and democratic movement led by college students and academics. This includes the chronology of the events from October 6 to 15, 1973. It is accompanied with the English translation by Professor Benedict Anderson of Cornell University.
