TitleKanpoepkhao
AuthorMo. ro. wo. Kukrit Pramot
AbstractThe author explores the table etiquette of Thai people in the past. Before adopting the use of spoons and forks from Western culture, Thais used to eat with their hands. The author argues that the custom was influenced by the practice of Buddhist monks. To eat properly with hand, he contends, one should not cram or stuff food into his/her mouth.
