| Title | Mummong mai nai kankamnot ayu samai luangpho To Wat Phananchoeng |
| Author | Thepmontri Limpaphayom |
| Abstract | In the article, the author argues that the Buddha image Phra Phuttha Trairattanayok, or widely known as Luangpho To, at Wat Phanancheong in Ayutthaya could not be used as the marker of how old other Buddha sculptures were, as many archeologists and historians currently believe. This because new historical evidences have shown that Phra Phuttha Trairattanayok was restored by artisans in Rattanakosin period and the restoration has changed details on the Buddha sculpture from its authentic version. Therefore, it could not be used as the marker. |
