AbstractIn this article, the author satires the 12 rules of culture initiated by former Thai Prime Minister Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram. The premier attempted to instill nationalism among Thais. In order to accomplish his goals, Field Marshal Phibunsongkhram issued regulations that would make Thai people look more cultured and homogenous. This includes the rule that required people to wear a hat every time one was in a public place; or to buy only goods that were manufactured in Thailand..
