AbstractThis article is focused on the inscription written on pieces of magical cloth distributed to soldiers serving in King Taksin's army. The author writes that it was believed that the cloth helped to encourage and strengthen the soldiers' mind. More importantly, the inscription on the cloth reveals how King Taksin arranged his troops and positioned his soldiers in the war. The author also describes the crucial roles that King Taksin played in rebuilding the Thai nation after the fall of Ayutthaya Kingdom in1757.
