| Title | Aviator Lonnie Brennan and unidentified woman with plane, probably in Seattle, 1929 |
| Photographer | Staff Photographer Seattle Post-Intelligencer |
| Date | 1929 |
| Caption | Lonnie 'Lon' Brennan became a commercial pilot in 1920 and was based out of Vancouver, Bremerton, and Seattle before moving to Alaska. In 1939, he began a bush flying service out of Manley Hot Springs near Fairbanks, Alaska. After his retirement in 1948, he moved back to the Pacific Northwest, settling on Camano Island.
This 1929 photograph of Brennan posing on the wing of a plane bearing 'Seattle Flying' on the side could have been from the time period when he serviced routes between Seattle and Spokane. The woman in the plane is unidentified. |
