CaptionThe Big Tree Inn was originally constructed for the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. Made out of two sections of a 2000-year-old, 300-foot tall giant redwood tree, it was moved to Des Moines, Washington in the early 1920s where it became a restaurant. Later it was moved again to be closer to Highway 99. It was eventually destroyed by fire.
