| Title | Bon Marché skybridge to parking garage, December 10, 1961 |
| Photographer | Josef Scaylea |
| Date | 1961 |
| Caption | The Bon Marché was founded in 1890 by German immigrants Edward and Josephine Nordhoff. Originally located in Seattle's Belltown district at First Ave and Cedar Street, it soon moved to a more central location downtown at Second and Pine Streets. The Bon Marché went through much construction throughout the years. In 1960 a skybridge was built connecting the Bon with a parking garage across the street for the convenience of shoppers. |
| Notes | Typewritten on verso: In downtown Seattle, Josef Scaylea pointed his wide-angle camera lens south in Third Avenue from Stewart Street. In the center background, the avenue is framed by the Bon Marche building, left, the graceful lines of a parking garage, right, and a connecting pedestrian bridge high over the street. |
