| Caption | A white convertible carries President John F. Kennedy past the Seattle Central Library at 1000 Fourth Avenue. The parade of cars traveled along Fourth Avenue as more than 50, 000 people cheered his arrival in Seattle. In the car with the President were Senator Warren G. Magnuson and Governor Albert D. Rosellini. During his visit, Kennedy addressed an overflow crowd at the University of Washington's Hec Edmundson Pavilion and attended a banquet at the Olympic Hotel honoring Magnuson's 25 years in Congress. |
