| Title | Aerial view of crowds waiting to enter Seattle World's Fair taken from east, 1962 |
| Photographer | Forde Photographers |
| Date | 1962 |
| Caption | "This aerial view of the World's Fair shows the southeast corner of the 74-acre Fair site, including the southeast gate. The white arches at upper left rise gracefully over placid pools in the courtyard of the spectacular U.S. Science Pavilion. At lower left is the geodesic dome of the Motor Co. exhibit which features a 'journey into space' in a simulated rocket. Also shown are, (lower right) the Interiors, Fashion and Commerce Pavilion, and the open-air IBM exhibit of business machines, from the antique to the ultra-modern."
The U.S. Science Pavilion is now the Pacific Science Center. |
