CaptionOpened in 1929, the Fox Theatre was the last theatre to open before the Depression hit Seattle. It was built to accommodate both motion pictures and live entertainment, with a large stage and 30 dressing rooms. The Clise family bought the theatre in 1936 and renamed it the Music Hall Theatre. It was known by this name until it was demolished in 1992.

Fox Theatre was later renamed Music Hall Theatre; it was also known as the Fox, the Roxy, the 7th Avenue, the Emerald Palace.
