Jennie Moses in Renton, 1921
TitleJennie Moses in Renton, 1921
PhotographerMitchell, Leonard
Date1921
NotesNote filed with image: This picture is of Jennie Moses, wife of Jimmy Moses and mother of Henry. The colored enlargement was made from a snapshot taken of her by her boyfriend Leonard Mitchell in 1921. At that time Mrs. Moses was about 60 years old. The beaded bag she is wearing is an arrow quiver, and was her proudest possession. It is believed that this arrow quiver was given to Jennie's father by the great War Chief Joseph, of the Nez Pierce Tribe. The picture was taken in front of the Moses old home on Black River, a short distance west from where the Renton High School now stands. --Donated to the Renton Public Library by Leonard A. Mitchell, son of Mrs. Charles Mitchell, a Renton pioneer. --Leonard Mitchell.

Renton Historical Society has a 35 mm negative of the original print on file.
