CaptionDuring the summer and fall of 1961, work continued on the Space Needle and Monorail. Here, the T-shaped precast concrete supports for the monorail track run along Fifth Avenue, past Totem Pontiac. In the background, the Space Needle continues to grow. Judging by the structure's height, this photo was probably taken in September 1961.
