PhotographerStaff Photographer
Seattle Post-Intelligencer
Dateca. 1922
CaptionVice President Calvin Coolidge was known mostly for his quiet demeanor while he served as a representative, senator, and governor. Soon to become president due to President Harding's death in 1923, Coolidge would maintain his reputation as a man of few words, but his ability to build relationships in the Republican party and manage the scandals remaining from the Harding administration would allow him to win the 1924 presidential election.

This photograph of Coolidge and his wife, Grace Anna, was taken during a visit to Seattle most likely during his vice presidency from 1921 to 1923.
