| Title | Mrs. J.C. Kilborne golfing at Seattle Golf Club, The Highlands, 1930 |
| Photographer | Staff Photographer Seattle Post-Intelligencer |
| Date | 1930 |
| Caption | Golf was not commonly played by women in the late 1920s, although women's events at the Seattle Golf Club received significant attention from both a social and sporting standpoint. In this 1930 photograph, Mrs. J.C. Kilborne is playing golf on a misty morning with several observers. Her skirted outfit was standard golf attire for women of this era and beyond, as the Seattle Golf Club did not allow women to wear pants on the course until 1970. |
