Dateca. 1927
CaptionFor many years, the Todd Shipyards Corporation has had ship repair and maintenance facilities at Harbor Island in Seattle. In about 1927, the German battleship "Emden" visited the Todd yards for inspection and maintenance. After the floating ship entered the dry dock, the water was pumped out. This allowed the shipyard workers to reach all parts of the ship's hull.
In this photo, taken around 1927, Todd Shipyard workers are inspecting and repairing the anchor chain of the German battleship "Emden."
