| Title | Two players in a polo match at the Olympic Riding and Driving Club, Seattle, 1934 |
| Photographer | Staff Photographer Seattle Post-Intelligencer |
| Date | 1934 |
| Caption | In the 1930s, the undeveloped area north of Seattle near present day Lake City was home to six riding academies including a number of polo fields. One of those fields, the Olympic Riding and Driving Club, became the Jackson Golf Course in 1966 and the stables closed. Jackson Park is one of the remaining green spaces left in the area from this rural legacy. This photograph shows two polo players nearing the goal during a match. |
