| Title | Volunteer Park Reservoir, Seattle, May 7, 1926 |
| Photographer | Unknown |
| Date | 1926 |
| Caption | Seattle's water comes from the Cedar River and is stored at holding reservoirs around the city. In 1901, workers built a reservoir at Volunteer Park, some 444 feet above sea level. Gravity provided the pressure needed to move the water out through the mains to homes and businesses. This photo, taken in May 1926, shows Seattle's Volunteer Park Reservoir. Queen Anne Hill and Elliott Bay can be seen in the distance. |
