| Caption | Seattle residents have often been known for charitable activities. In 1925, the Young Men's Business Club sponsored a drive to collect clothing for the Middle East. May 15 was declared "Bundle Day." Mayor Edwin Brown, city officials, and fifty other men paraded in the streets dressed in barrels to promote the event. |
