| Title | Tourists on an auto tour to Lake Ozette, Washington, 1927 |
| Photographer | Webster & Stevens |
| Date | 1927 |
| Caption | In the 1920s, The Seattle Times ran articles on trips that people could take in their cars. One tour was to the area around Lake Ozette, in the northwest corner of the Olympic Peninsula. Auto touring to this isolated area of Washington State must have been quite an adventure. This 1927 photo was taken during the newspaper's auto tour to the Lake Ozette area. Group members wait by their Oakland car, while two men chop a tree that has fallen across the dirt road. |
