| Title | Children at the Medina Baby Home, ca. 1926 |
| Photographer | Webster & Stevens |
| Date | ca. 1926 |
| Caption | Before the county and state became involved in child welfare, children's services were provided by private groups such as the Pacific Coast Rescue and Protective Society. The society's Medina Baby Home specialized in finding adoptive or foster homes for babies and children up to six years old. After the home moved to Seattle, it was sometimes called the Medina Seattle Baby Home. In this photo, taken around 1926, boys and girls at the Medina Baby Home eat in their nursery as the photographer snaps their picture. |
