| Caption | Lulu Fairbanks wrote in her scrapbook about the dedication of the new lodge for the Mountaineers. On the page where this photograph is pasted, she relates how the fireplace was used to boil water for coffee and tea to accompany the first lunch held at the new lodge. The building had nether a roof or floor, but the fireplace was functional. |
