Date1935
CaptionHollywood Farm, in Woodinville, was built by the Frederick Stimson family. The family's weekend retreat, Stimson Manor and Cottage House, was adjacent to the farm. Milk and cream from the farm's prize-winning Holstein dairy herd was sent to Seattle by railroad. Seattleites visited by train and bought cream, ice cream, and sausages at the farm's ice cream parlor.
In 1973 U.S. Tobacco bought the property and built the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery on the grounds of the farm. Stimson Manor and Cottage House still remain on the property.
