| Caption | Bertha Potter Paschall Boeing was the wife of Boeing Airplane Company founder William E. Boeing. She had two sons from a previous marriage, and the Boeings had one son, William Boeing Jr. Bertha Boeing christened two of Boeing's groundbreaking planes: the first Model 40A mail plane in 1927, and the Dash 80 jet prototype in 1954. Bertha Boeing died on June 27, 1977. |
