CaptionKOMO radio started using its new call letters in the fall of 1926. The station was associated with Totem Broadcasters, the radio industry's first production company. Totem hired performers for musical and comedy programs. It also contracted with the YMCA and area churches to provide exercise classes and religious services. This meant that KOMO could provide listeners with up to 14 hours of programs each day.
