CaptionThe Ginder Lake mine was located just east of the Black Diamond-Ravensdale Road near a privately owned lake. It was operated by the William Strain Coal Company from 1938 until it closed down July 10, 1941. One miner, Charles Tenio, was killed in this mine on July 26, 1939. This photo shows the mine tipple and miners with their lunch pails preparing for the upcoming shift.
