| Caption | A 600-foot 'Space Needle' observation tower topped by a revolving restaurant is one of the feature attractions of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. Two high-speed passenger elevators will carry visitors to the top, or to the intermediate platform and 220-seat restaurant, which will make a complete revolution each hour, and will afford a panoramic view of the lakes, mountains and salt water surrounding Seattle. The $2, 500, 000 tower was designed by John Graham & Co., Architects, Seattle and New York. |
