|Title||Caddies at Broadmoor Golf Club, Seattle, June 16, 1949 |
|Caption||Until the advent of golf carts, many golfers hired caddies to carry their bags of golf clubs around the course. Caddies might be students or adults who loved golf and wanted to earn extra money.|
This 1949 photo shows a group of Broadmoor Golf Club caddies. The Seattle club's head golf professional George Howard is bending over to check a caddie's grip. Broadmoor Golf Club, which opened in 1927, is an integral part of the Puget Mill Company's Broadmoor residential development in Madison Park.
