CaptionThe decade of the 1920s witnessed an explosion of building construction in the University District. Among the new structures that arose at this time were several multi-storied apartments. The Commodore and Duchess Apartments, two adjacent buildings at 4003 and 4009 15th Avenue NE, were built in 1925 and 1927 respectively.
