Dateca. 1921
CaptionIn the early 1920s, Redmond-area children rode to school on wooden-bodied buses built by students in the district's manual training classes. Each vehicle carried about 90 children who sat on four long benches which ran along the length of the bus.

This photo shows a line of students boarding a school bus near Redmond, Washington. Judging by the license plate on the bus, the photo was probably taken in 1921.
NotesTyped on verso: School Bus Service at Redmond in 1924. Bodies of the cars built by manual training students - carried about 90 children to a load. Seats were parallel to the chassies - one seat down the middle making room for 4 rows of children. Cars were driven by students and teachers.
