| Caption | The Great Northern Railway line hugged the shore north of Seattle, continued on into Ballard and eventually reached Vancouver, British Columbia. Ballard's small wooden depot stood just north of the Salmon Bay railroad bridge.
This image shows the Ballard depot in the summer of 1937. A tall bird cage stands to the left of the windows, and plants flourish in the window boxes. A freight wagon stands to the right. The building still stands and is now a private residence. |
