CaptionAlice Eldridge was the wife of Arthur 'A.S.' Eldridge, a Seattle businessman who owned several Buick dealerships in Seattle in the late 1920s. A member of the Seattle Yacht Club, his diesel fantail yacht, the 'Alarwee, ' was used for local special events including transporting Charles Lindbergh from Sand Point to the University of Washington during his visit. The 'Alarwee' was a twin-screw diesel fantail yacht and was designed by L.E. 'Ted' Geary and built by Ballard Marine Railway Company in 1925.

This 1929 photograph of Alice Eldridge on the deck of the 'Alarwee' was likely taken on Lake Union.
