| Caption | During the first quarter of the twentieth century, multi-storied apartment buildings were constructed, especially on First Hill, Capitol Hill, and Queen Anne Hill. The Olive Tower Apartments are located at the corner of Boren Avenue and Olive Way. According to a real estate brochure of the time, two-room suites, unfurnished and furnished, rented for $52.50 to $85 a month. The 14-story building opened July 15, 1928 and advertised "a telephone in every apartment" and a fireproof garage. |
