PhotographerZoller, William
PublisherUniversity of Washington. Dept. of Chemistry
Date of photograph1981
Site locationAerial view of crater
NotesPicture taken of the exterior of the crater showing some of the debris flows coming down the exterior or outside area of the volcanic crater of Mount St. Helens. It looks like rock slides on a ramp. Material had collapsed from the side of the crater and then slid down the side. This would be semi consolidated ash and debris from the explosion that plummeted down and slid down the side of the flank of the volcano.
Subjects (LCSH)Volcanic ash, tuff, etc.
