| Notes | Boys were assigned to tend the school garden during their daily work period. They grew all of the vegetables eaten in the school dining room. The young fruit trees in the background grew to become part of the large orchard that produced fruit for the school. Here, several young boys pose for the camera, along with the school's farmer and his wife and child.
Photographer Ferd Brady had a studio in Marysville, Washington from 1907 to 1910, then moved to Everett, and finally settled in Anacortes in the 1920s. In the 1910s, he had a government contract to photograph the people and activities at the Tulalip Indian School, near Marysville. Brady closed his Everett studio in 1952 and died in 1967.
