Note from donor file: Behind the groom to the right is Samuel Fisse, the bride's father. At the upper left of the bride with a black hat with brim beside the little girl with the wreath is the bride's mother.

To the right of the synagogue is one of the houses that were the first properties which Ezra Bessaroth purchased. The other was a house right close that faced Fir Street. Before the members built the synagogue they tore out walls in this house in the picture and held services there.
