Jackson (D., Wash.) at the Senator's desk in Washington, D.C. They are going over Ed's prize-winning script, 'I Speak for Democracy.' The young winner, a Central Valley High School senior and the son of Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Kauffman of Veradale, received an all-expenses-paid trip to the nation's capitol for winning the state contest. The contest was sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters and the Electronic Industries Association in cooperation with the Veterans of Foreign Wars. (Cutlines only. Mailed 2-25-59)
