| Caption | W.W. Phalen's Grocery was located at 4863 Rainier Avenue. Clerks and sisters, Minnie Curtis (in white blouse) and Elizabeth Curtis, are standing in the doorway. Mr. Brassington, owner of the Rainier Valley Market at 4865 Rainier, is on the right in the white butcher's coat. To his right is Iona Frogben, owner of a grocery store near the City Light installation in the 4200 block of Genesee. |
