CaptionPreliminary testing of the Boeing Clipper 314 long-range flying boat included 250 miles of surface taxiing at varying speeds. The Clipper testing program was described as the most rigorous and thorough of any sea plane to date. This is one of six planes built for Pan-American Airlines for use on its transoceanic routes.
