CaptionThe history of Galbraith & Co. goes back to shortly after the 1889 fire when James Galbraith and his partner Cecil Bacon established a wholesale business at the foot of Washington Street. Galbraith & Bacon dock is a prominent feature in many Seattle waterfront views. In 1944 this building stood at 2411 Alaskan Way. The railroad tracks that used to run alongside the street are visible in the foreground.
