"A" is for Ann who sews while her brother and sister play. "B" is for bees hovering around flowers and their hives. "C" is for cat who is playing with a young boy.
Printed at the top of leaf 1: New Little Stories about the Alphabet.
"D" is for dog who is playing with a young boy and girl. "E" is for eggs which are laid by hens. The illustration depicts a hen playing with some chicks while a rooster watches. "F" is for fox who is slyly watching some waterfowl.
Contextual NotesThomas Dean's publishing company was located at Threadneedle Street from c. 1800-1855 and he published under the name Dean & Company from 1843-1846.
