Handwritten on negative jacket: July 4, 1938. Ginkgo Petrified Forest. Twin squirrels, petrified wood. Simpson's specimen. Simpson split this specimen but did not split again as the outline of the squirrel would not show up. Note one on the left is not as perfect as the other.
