CaptionThe Boeing 314 Clipper was a long-range flying boat produced by the Boeing Airplane Company between 1938 and 1941. The Clipper 314 provided unprecedented style and luxury to its passengers. Amenities for 70 passengers (40 if in a sleeper configuration) included a lounge, dining salon, dressing rooms for both men and women, and even a bridal suite. The first 6 Clippers were commissioned by Pan-American Airlines for use on their transoceanic flights. Only 12 Clippers were ever built.
