CaptionDavid Rodgers was a master shipfitter who managed the Skinner & Eddy Corp. shipyard in Seattle from 1916 until 1919. Under Rodgers' management, the crew broke production speed records for ship construction and completed more ships for the U.S. war effort during World War I than any other American shipyard.
David and Carrie Rodgers lived in the community of Zenith in southern King County, near Des Moines, Washington.
