CaptionWhen it opened in 1930, at 821 Second Avenue, Seattle's Exchange Building was the tallest building in the downtown business district. This image shows the view from the Exchange Building to the north northeast, along Second Avenue. The tall flag-topped building in the distance is the Northern Life Tower (now the Seattle Tower).
