Historical BackgroundThe Christian Witness Pavilion (also known as the Christian Science Exhibit) on Friendship Mall served the dual role of presenting a message of hope for the future and housing the fair's Children's Center. The Children's Center was designed for youngsters from three through seven, and included educational and entertaining displays and demonstrations that provided a Christian atmosphere in which the children could study and play.
