Nearly full grown caterpillar, probably a female; 5. Male pupa in its burrow; 6. Exit hole covered by a loose piece of bark which the pupa will push off as it partly emerges; 6a. Another; 7. Hole made for the pushing out of excrement and then closed by a silk web; 8. Same as above, but in use with particles of excrement dangling by silken threads; 9.
