NotesElmer Ogawa was born in Seattle in 1905 of Japanese and German-Irish parents. He served in the US Army during WWII. Ogawa was a freelance photographer and journalist, and was active in the Seattle JACL (Japanese American Citizens League) and a number of veteran groups.
